Someone once said, "Once you've seen a church, you've seen em' all."
Well maybe he's not right. Each church is unique. This day, we were able to visit 7 churches while on the way to Sinubong.
*Pics are not in order*
**A church has something near the opening that contains the holy water...you have to cross yourself with it before bowing in front of the altar where the priest is situated to give the gospels and sermons before proceeding to the pews. The choir and other important people are seated in front and the late comers usually are situated outside. The church has designs related to the Christ and some are adorned with sculptures, figurines and others.**
Maundy Thursday means that it's time for Kath's family to have an overnight in Abong-Abong so that they can walk at dawn towards the cross. They decided against the plan. This day, they brought me along in their church hopping :P
Sinubong is the place where this family flourished so this is the special place in their heart and this was their destination but we passed the churches along the way. Church#7 is a simple church in the rural area.
Church#7: Cristo Rey.

Church 6. I am sorry I wasn't able to get the name.
This is the parish church at Labuan, Zamboanga City.
Their church is related to the Virgin Mary I guess.
But first, some feelgood pics of Kath's adorable sister :

#4: Parish Church of Ayala (Mt. Carmel)
This is where her parents got married. This place is huuge but yes, it's awesome to be here.

#1: Parish Church of San Roque. (Sanctuario)
The nearest church because this is the barangay where they live so this was our first stop.
They have the Christ in coffin in relation to the Holy Week.
#2: Peñafrancia Parish Church at Southcom...
This structure is prepared for what the local people call the 'Hallelujah' or 'Domingo Encuentro' which shows the angels (cute kids singing while being lowered) to celebrate the resurrection of Christ and his ascension into heaven. (Not sure with my knowledge abt this religion.) Sunday is Easter Sunday too!
#3: Parish Church at Sinunuc, Zamboanga City.
I must admit, this is a niiice church*___*
It overlooks the sea ;) and you might feel the freedom because it's just soo open and the priest is awesome. I wouldn't mind getting married here someday :P
